Roma striker Edin Dzeko is proud to have worn the captain's armband this season.

Club icon Francesco Totti passed on the captaincy to Daniele De Rossi, who then left it to Alessandro Florenzi one season later and now the right-back has left on loan at Sevilla and Dzeko picked up the prestigious armband.

Dzeko told the Athletic: “It's a privilege for me to come after all these guys.

"Totti and De Rossi, who are the biggest legends not just in Rome but also in Italy. It's a bigger responsibility. I came at 30, next month I'm 34. I feel ready."
