Roma striker Abraham happy scoring in victory over Empoli

Roma striker Tammy Abraham was delighted to score in victory over Empoli last night.

The Giallorossi returned to winning ways with the 2-1 triumph.

“We played here last season, we know how difficult it is, they are a good team," said Abraham. "We had lost two games coming into this, so we needed this for our confidence and we're happy to win.

“I think we had individual performances that were amazing today, Ibanez and Matic, two important players today on the pitch.

“Me and Paulo got the goals, but we've got to give credit to other players as well. Zeki as well, it's a new team and difficult for him, but he put in a good performance.

“We've got a lot of things to be proud of and on Thursday we've got another game."

Abraham added: “I'm getting better and better, I need to keep learning and improving. I'm still getting my fitness back a little bit after injury, but I'm happy to help the team by scoring."
