Roma are pushing to have Jose Mourinho on the bench for Sunday's massive clash with Juventus.

Mourinho was handed a two-match suspension on Thursday for his dismissal in defeat to Cremonese and subsequent row with the fourth official.

Sky Italia says last night Roma launched an appeal against the ban.

The immediate aim is to delay the suspension, so that Special One can be on the bench for in the match against Juventus to be held on Sunday evening.

Both teams regard the game as a six-pointer as they battle for a top four finish.
