Roma president Jim Pallotta has welcomed approval for their new stadium plans.
Pallotta has been driving to get a stadium built since the moment he took over the club in 2012, but it has taken over five years to get all the various local institutions in agreement.
“I'm delighted because I know what this decision could mean for Rome itself, for our club's future and for our fans - and we want to give them the home they deserve," Pallotta told the Roma website.
Roma hope to play in the Stadio della Roma for the 2020-21 season.
