Roma move to beat Sevilla to Jesus Navas

Roma are moving to trump Sevilla to the Bosman signing of Manchester City winger Jesus Navas.

Sevilla president Jose Castro has confirmed plans to re-sign the Spain international.

However, Corriere dello Sport says the Giallorossi have stepped in with a bumper offer for Navas' consideration.

Roma proposed a three-year contract to Navas and he is leaning towards accepting the deal.

The midfielder left Sevilla for €20m in 2013.

The 31-year-old Spaniard provided five assists in 30 competitive games for Manchester City this season.
