Italian club AS Roma are believed to be showing significant interest in Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Dutch midfielder is expected to leave Newcastle United this summer following their relegation from the Premier League.
West Ham United have already been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old but now Roma have joined the chase according to his agent Humphrey Nijman.
"Wijnaldum's situation right now is very simple," he told RomaNews.
"Newcastle have been relegated to the second division, so now the player has to think about his future.
"At the moment I can't say any more, and I can't talk about negotiations. Roma are a great club, one of the best in Europe.
"How much would he cost? I can't answer that, it's the club that decides a player's price.
"I only take care of Wijnaldum's contract."
Wijnaldum joined the Magpies from PSV Eindhoven for £14.5 million last summer, scoring 11 goals and producing six assists in his debut Premier League campaign.
