Roma fullback Leonardo Spinazzola hailed Italy's team spirit for their victory over Austria.

Italy are into the Euro 2020 quarterfinals with this extra-time 2-1 win.

Man-of-the-match Spinazzola said, "I am very happy for that, but I am even happier because we qualified and because we played as a team.

“(Roberto) Mancini told us to remain calm and to be more precise with the final pass. We remained focused and we defended all together, we are really happy.

“We've always defended well, but never as we did tonight. Austria are physically strong and it was hard to win aerial duels. We played as a team and that's important."
