Roma fullback Leonardo Spinazzola shrugs off Inter Milan transfer collapse

Roma fullback Leonardo Spinazzola has shrugged off a failed summer switch to Inter Milan.

A failed medical saw the deal fall through.

“These things happen, that's all in the past now. Having said that, I do feel more psychologically free after that," Spinazzola told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I am also trying to develop a little healthy egotism and have more shots on goal rather than always trying to pass it. Roma's tactics changed too, as we can defend better and still have plenty of attacking options.

“The coach hasn't changed at all, though. Even when there were all these reports of potential new coaches, Paulo Fonseca remained perfectly composed.

“Playing for Roma is a bit like being on a rollercoaster, because if you win then you're a champion, if you lose then you belong in Serie C. There isn't much of a balance."
