AC Milan are ready to launch an opening bid for Roma defender Alessio Romagnoli.

New Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has urged the board to go for the youngster. The pair worked together at Sampdoria last season.

Mihajlovic rates Romagnoli highly and believes he is worth Roma's €20 million valuation.

Romagnoli wants the move to happen, convinced he'll have a better chance of first team football under Mihajlovic than staying with Roma.
