Roma have confirmed a knee injury to new signing Mario Rui.
There's fears Rui will be out of action for six months.
“Mario Rui has been diagnosed with an anterior cruciate ligament injury following medical examinations on Saturday," a statement confirmed.
“The Portuguese full-back twisted his knee during Friday's afternoon training session in Boston.
“Mario Rui will travel back to Rome later on Saturday and undergo arthroscopic surgery over the next few days."
