Roma coach Luciano Spalletti was delighted with victory over Inter Milan.
In an exciting clash at the Stadio Olimpico, an early Edin Dzeko tap-in and deflected Kostas Manolas header saw Roma overcome Ever Banega's equaliser.
“It's a wonderful victory that sorts out many things," Spalletti told Mediaset Premium.
“There was too much talk and the team hadn't done very well this season. We were very inconsistent, but this win allows us to work with depth and the time we need for a more detailed analysis of the situation.
“Every now and then there are moments when it doesn't go the way it should and we as professionals should give a specific direction to the team. At times we're content to defend, at others the opposition make us run hard and that creates fatigue.
“Manolas has incredible potential. His physicality is extraordinary and he just needs to find the right consistency to make the most of these characteristics."
