Roma coach Luis Enrique promises fans attacking football

New AS Roma coach Luis Enrique has promised fans attacking football next season.

Enrique spoke after new President Thomas Di Benedetto outlined his plans for the outfit.

"I'd like to thank the club for choosing myself and my staff," the former Barcelona B team boss declared.

"I'm an offensive-minded Coach. I like to attack, I like to impress fans and I believe that football should surprise and entertain. Our project is one that will allow us to express offensive football."

Di Benedetto asked the fans for time earlier today and the 4-3-3 tactician mirrored that statement.

"I really like the calmness which the President Di Benedetto is showing," added the former Spanish international midfielder.

"What we are asking for is patience. If we are supported then I'm sure that people will be entertained.

"I don't know the squad that well yet and it will be useless to say that we are targeting the title or the Champions League. Things will be clearer in 10 days' time.

"If we win then everything will be fine and we'll certainly aim to do that with hard work."
