Roma coach Paulo Fonseca was upbeat after their 2-2 draw with friendly opponents Cagliari.
Cengiz Under and Henrikh Mkhitaryan struck Roma's goals.
“I felt the team played with personality in the first half too," Fonseca told Roma's website after the final whistle.
“In the second half the reaction was strong; I'm seeing positive signs."
Fonseca has been working with the new Roma president Dan Friedkin and CEO Guido Fienga ahead of the upcoming campaign, preparing the squad for the new season.
“I talked to the President and with Fienga," he added. “We are working together to find the best solutions for the squad."
