Roma coach Enrique beaming after victory over Atalanta

AS Roma coach Luis Enrique was beaming after their 3-1 win over Atalanta.

Bojan Krkic, Pablo Daniel Osvaldo and Fabio Simplicio secured the 3-1 win that was played at a faster tempo, although with less possession than in other games this season.

"When we want to reach the goal with possession, it's better, but possession can mean vertical moves as well as horizontal," said the Coach.

"At the start we struggled, as Atalanta are the form team at the moment, but our tempo was better. I still thought we were too stretched out, though.

"We needed our first home win to create more unity between the fans and the team. It's very important when you feel the faith of the supporters and when Atalanta scored, they helped us through it.

"I wanted the stadium to enjoy our football and our hunger to go for goal. I am happy with this performance and we are on the right track, but to do that need all the players, not just 11. Just look at the contribution Fabio Simplicio gave today and how hard he has worked in training.

"This is the kind of football I wanted. We have won two now, but there is a long way to go. I am happy to have many options, as there are no automatic first picks for me."
