Roma sports director Gianluca Petrechi is in talks with super agent Mino Raiola about how to tackle the signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
On-loan from Arsenal, Mkhitaryan is wanted for next season by Roma coach Paulo Fonseca.
For the moment, Roma's plans are at deadlock due to the terms involved. Contracted to 2021, Mkhitaryan could move to Roma on-loan - though it would mean they covering his entire €7m Gunners salary, which is outside their budget.
Roma could also sign the midfielder outright, though Arsenal's current €20m valuation is deemed too rich.
As such, Petrachi is speaking with Mkhitaryan's agent Raiola about finding a solution.
