Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini admits their performance wasn't up to standard for defeat at Ludogorets.

Roma lost their opening Europa League clash 2-1 last night.

Pellegrini said at the final whistle: "It is a moment in which we need to regroup and recover as fast as possible because on Monday we have a fundamental game to win. Today we did not win for missed opportunities, where we have to do better, than for defensive mistakes.

“We must not stop being enthusiastic and working, which we do in Trigoria during training. It is right and normal to think that something more needs to be done.

“Playing every three days has its difficulties. We are missing some players who could alternate but as I said before, it's time to get together. We have made two defeats and we must make sure it not happen again. We restart from Monday."
