Roma are in advanced talks with Catania for fullback Juan Vargas.

The Peru international is close to seeing a £2.5 million fee agreed between the two clubs for his transfer, but says: "I don't know anything about the Roma interest.

"At the moment I am a Catania player and all I can do is stand back and wait and see what happens."
