Roma boss Jose Mourinho is eyeing a move for Atletico Madrid outcast Saul Niguez.
The midfielder struggled during a loan spell at Chelsea last season, and is heading back to the Wanda Metropolitano stadium club.
However, Atleti may want to sell or loan out Niguez again, as he is not in the plans of coach Diego Simeone.
According to AS, Mourinho is eager to sign Saul, as he believes the midfielder can thrive in Serie A.
The only issue would be Saul's wages, which are higher than any Roma player at present.
Roma also completed the signing of defensive midfielder Nemanja Matic this summer.
