Rogers had a few outings in LA’s reserves team, Galaxy II, in the USL PRO league in the lead-up and he feels that helped prepare him for his comeback despite the fact it wasn’t a super individual performance.
"Everything is a step, definitely, and I feel like I've been improving," said Rogers, who missed two months of the start of 2014 with a stress fracture.
"We have two big games at home coming up, and we need to get points and we need to make StubHub Center a fortress. Hopefully, I can contribute."
He added: "I think playing with 'Los Dos,' that those games were important.
"And just getting consecutive weeks of training and not getting injured, knock on wood, and hopefully I can stay healthy and just keep improving and contributing in some way."
