Jack Rodwell has welcomed new Everton teammate James McFadden.
Rodwell had only a fleeting acquaintance with McFadden during his first stint at the club, with the Scotland international joining Birmingham City in a £5m deal in January 2008, but the 20-year-old believes his return represents good business because of his ability to play in various roles.
He told the Liverpool Echo: "He's an international player with great ability and he's versatile because he can play either wing or up front. I'm sure he'll be a great addition.
"I only remember him being around for half a season, but I'm looking forward to getting to know him and all the lads say he's a good lad."
