Sunderland midfielder Jack Rodwell was delighted with his goal in their draw with Hull City.

Rodwell cancelled out Dame N'Doye's opener for the Tigers.

Rodwell said: "Every game now is a cup final, I know that's a cliche. We're all around it fighting. There's a lot of teams there.

"We just need to keep chipping away and putting points on the board.

"Last night could have ended in defeat, which would have been the end of the world.

"But we came away with a point."
