Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez is determined to improve his goalscoring record.

The £7m signing enjoyed a superb first season in the top flight but was also critical of his six goal tally.

"I would like more and hopefully next year I can improve on that," he reflected.

"I think we class it as an achievement to stay in the Premier League and we need to build on next year so it's a good feeling at the moment.

"It's a great stadium to be at, a great fan base and a great atmosphere every time we play here."
