Luke Rodgers will learn the fate of his American soccer career this Thursday.
The New York Red Bull striker, who has been sent to Norwegian club Lillestrom on loan, has an appointment at the US Consulate in Oslo on Thursday to determine whether or not he can obtain a second US working visa.
Englishman Rodgers was granted a 12-month permit last year after having some legal issues back in his homeland due to him being arrested on a number of occasions for various misdemeanours.
Rodgers signed with New York prior to the 2011 MLS season and was the clubs second highest scorer behind Thierry Henry but has been unable to get on the park in 2012 without the work permit.
