Rodgers: Away form highlights Liverpool resilience

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers feels his side's away form of late shows there is plenty of character in his squad.

The Anfield clubs 1-0 win at Swansea City on Monday night took their recent record on the road to five wins and a draw which has helped them push to within a win of the Premier League's top four, suggesting to Rodgers that there is a toughness among the players away from their home comforts.

"Last season we were a team right up there with Arsenal as the team who won the most games away from home," he said after Jordan Henderson netted the only goal of the contest.

"I think this year we're up there again among the top two or three teams so we know that we can go away and win with the character and resilience of the team as well as their quality. It shows the strides that the team is making."
