Notts County forward Luke Rodgers and SK Brann midfielder Jan Gunnar Solli are expected to join MLS club New York Red Bulls next season.

Red Bulls head coach Hans Backe suggested to the NY Post that the pair will be added to the squad for the 2011 season as he seeks to improve on this year's play-offs qualification.

Rodgers has been close to leaving England for New York on a couple of occasions but legal issues have denied him a working visa whilst Solli looks almost certain to slot into midfield alongside Rafael Marquez and Joel Lindpere next term.
