Blackburn Rovers can finish in the top ten this season, says striker Jason Roberts.

Rovers currently sit 12th in the Premier League, 10 points clear of the relegation zone, and Roberts believes a top 10 finish is the least the squad should be aiming for.

He told the Lancashire Telegraph: "We want to try to challenge the top 10 and try to sneak our way in there. We've got as many points as some other clubs who people have said have had a great season.

"But we've quietly gone about our work and hopefully in the last 10 or 11 games we can pick up some good results.

"But we know how it can go. We're not out of the woods yet.

"We want to try to challenge the top 10 because we should be in the top 10 with the squad that we have. "
