Former Portsmouth striker Gary Roberts is backing Bristol City defender Adam Webster for a Premier League move.

Roberts knows Webster from their time together.

And with the defender linked to Southampton and Newcastle, Roberts told Portsmouth News: "Webbo could play in the Premier League, he's a Rolls-Royce player.

“He is unbelievable, I still speak to him, he is such a lovely kid, you want people like those pair to do well – and I think they will."
