Fenerbahce wing-back Roberto Carlos is delighted to see Marcelo playing so well for Real Madrid at the moment.

Real Madrid legend Roberto Carlos told AS: "My position has been handed over successfully. Marcelo is a young player with great personality, very quick and capable of being the left wing-back of Madrid for many years.

"It cheered me that he stayed this season, because I knew that he could play well enough so that everyone at Real forgot about me!"
