Former Leicester City and Wales midfielder Robbie Savage was pleased seeing son Charlie Savage impress for Manchester United yesterday.

Midfielder Savage caught the eye in United's 4-0 win against Liverpool in Bangkok on Tuesday.

Dad Robbie, who began his pro career at United, commented on social media: "So so proud @charliesavage84, thought you were terrific, a Maradona turn on edge of your own box, who did you get that from? Finally a Savage that can play.

"Love to see it @charlie savage84, confident and brave on the edge of your own box against the best player in Premier League, Mo Salah."

Savage Snr is an FA Youth Cup winner with United.
