River Plate chief Enzo Francescoli says Real Madrid remain interested in Exequiel Palacios.

The young Argentine was expected to move to Real in January, but remains a player of River.

However, Francescoli says: "I had a meeting with (Real president) Florentino Pérez, whom I met in the street.

"It's a possibility that Palacios will join Real Madrid, but no one is in a hurry. Neither he, nor we, nor Real Madrid.

"He's on the right track, it's true, but for the future."
