Rijkaard delighted with Barcelona's free-scoring Eto'o

Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard was delighted with the performance of two-goal Samuel Eto'o in last night's 3-0 victory at Valencia.

"His performance has been very good, he was very generous, has moved around intelligently and was good," said Rijkaard, who also urged Valencia fans to stick with coach Ronald Koeman.

"Valencia aren't enjoying a good period at the moment, but the new coach needs time. That's why we played at a high tempo from the start to take advantage of their lack of confidence. Plus, they also have a lot of injuries."

He added: "We're happy because we have welcomed back Eto'o and Yaya Toure from their injury problems. Both were influential in the result today."
