Kieran Richardson says Sunderland let down their fans in defeat at Norwich City.
Richardson set up a frenetic finish when he struck with time running out - finding the back of the net with a superb low angled shot from the left of goal.
But Sunderland couldn't conjure an injury-time winner and Richardson told safc.com after the game: "I was pleased to score but the result overall is very disappointing.
"We were on a high after the Stoke game but we didn't play well tonight. We had possession in the first half but it wasn't effective.
"It's a shame because we have let the fans down and I am sorry for that."
