Micah Richards is putting all new contract talks on-hold at Manchester City.
The Sun says Richards, 19, has been talking to the club for five months about a new deal. But the young England defender has now decided to split with his agents SEM.
Richards will officially cut his ties with the company on December 20. That means new talks with City cannot start until January.
His father, Lincoln, may decide to take over the job of agent himself.
Although Chelsea and Manchester United have been hard on his trail, Richards has publicly stated he wants to stay at Eastlands and has told friends that is exactly his intention.
