Manchester City defender Micah Richards says they won't take Newcastle United lightly after the international break.

But Richards feels that if the Blues can hit form, in front of what could be a record crowd at the Etihad, they can wreck Newcastle's goals against tally.

"Newcastle will be a hard game," he said. "At home we are able to play our football a little bit more but you have to give respect to Newcastle.

"They have a good defensive record but hopefully we can break that down."
