Villarreal sensation Samuel Chukwueze should already be an Arsenal player, it has been revealed.

The Gunners are being linked with the 19 year-old this month, with the Nigerian declaring Premier League ambitions last week.

AS says at 17, Chukwueze already had a deal signed with Arsenal.

Arsenal moved for the forward after he helped Nigeria win the U17 World Cup and finished the tournament's third highest scorer.

However, despite a deal being done with Diamond Academy in Nigeria, Arsenal were blocked from bringing Chukwueze to England by the Home Office over UK work permit laws.

Instead, Villarreal stepped in to sign the youngster for €500,000.

Chukwueze could now be on the move to England for the €40m buyout clause in his current deal.
