Liverpool have made a structured offer to AS Monaco for striker Radamel Falcao.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has made it no secret he wants to make a senior striker signing before the market shuts.
It emerged last week that Liverpool had made enquiries for Falcao, only to discover he wanted to move to Real Madrid.
However, RMC says Liverpool have received fresh encouragement and tabled an offer for the Colombia international.
The Merseyside giants have offered €15 million for a season-long loan with the option to sign Falcao permanently for €50 million.
