The Saudi Arabian government believe they will eventually get Mohamed Salah to play in their domestic league.
Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol has offered a perspective regarding the rumors linking the Liverpool star to the Middle Eastern nation.
Salah would be one of many top class players who have decided to join the Saudi Pro League, including Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.
"The Saudis are convinced it is inevitable they will eventually get Mo Salah," Solhekol said speaking on Sky Sports.
"Is it going to be today or the next few days? It's touch and go.
"He's on a list of players they want but they also respect Liverpool and when the message got back the player is not for sale, they'll respect that.
"They see him as the icing on the cake. The Saudi Pro League already feel they've had an incredible window. Far beyond their wildest dreams to sign the kind of players they've signed. Yes it would be fantastic for them to get the most famous Arab player playing in an Arab country but they feel maybe they're going to have to wait a little longer to get him.
"The window in Saudi is open until next Thursday so they have time.
"Al Ittihad have a game tonight against Al Hilal. A massive game - Benzema vs Neymar. And Liverpool are playing this weekend, so maybe if they come back in they'll wait until those games are out of the way."
