Cristiano Ronaldo began emptying his locker at Manchester United before his interview with Piers Morgan, it has been revealed.

The Athletic says even before the interview aired and before leaving for Portugal's World Cup squad on November 13, Ronaldo took things from his locker at Carrington.

In the interview, the 37-year-old Portuguese criticized the club and also manager Erik ten Hag.

In reaction, on November 22, Manchester United announced the termination of Ronaldo's contract by mutual consent.

Ronaldo has made 16 appearances for the club in all competitions this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
