REVEALED: Real Madrid president Florentino TWICE rejected Pogba signing

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has TWICE rejected the chance to sign Paul Pogba, it has been revealed.

The Juventus midfielder is expected to join Manchester United this week for a world record fee.

Pogba was also linked with Real and Sport says twice the player was offered to Florentino, only for him to turn the Frenchman down.

The first time was in 2012, when Pogba had come off contract at Manchester United. The midfielder was offered to Real, along with Juve, but Florentino believed if United were so willing to let Pogba go he wouldn't be good enough for Madrid. Instead, Florentino sign Luka Modric from Tottenham for €30 million.

The second opportunity came two summers ago, when GM Jose Angel Sanchez managed to strike terms with Juve over €60 million fee for the player.

But, again, Florentino wasn't convinced and stopped the operation, instead paying €75 million for James Rodriguez and €25 million for Toni Kroos.
