REVEALED: Man Utd set to reward Solskjaer with bumper two-year extension

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to be rewarded with a new contract, according to reports.

United are second on the Premier League table and have reached the Europa League quarter-finals.

Speaking last week, the club's managing director Richard Arnold heaped praise on the Norwegian.

"No one in the world is happier than me with the phenomenal success he is bringing," Arnold said.

"When you're inside the club and you are seeing the work of the man and the character, it just makes you so happy. He deserves to succeed, and he is, and that makes me very happy."

And the Daily Mail reports United are going one step further by handing Solskjaer a two-year contract extension once the season ends.

The former Red Devils striker will see an increase on his £7million-a-year salary, which will now last until 2024.

Solskjaer has been managing the club since December 2018.

But despite having not won a trophy, United's board is confident with how the team are progressing under the club legend.
