REVEALED: Man Utd invite Canadian superkid Alphonso Davies for trials

Manchester United have offered trials to Canadian superkid Alphonso Davies.

CTV says United have invited the striker to train with the first team squad.

Davies, who moved to Canada when he was just five-year-old after being born in a refugee camp and escaping the Liberian civil war, has enjoyed a remarkable rise through the ranks.

In 2016, he became the youngest player to score in the United Soccer League as a 15-year-old and then moved to MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps.

In June, he earned his first call-up to the Canadian national team and became their youngest ever goalscorer when he scored in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

It's claimed the deal is dependent on clearance and approval from Vancouver but if agreed, Davies will link up with United in the new year.
