Manchester UnitedErik ten Hag was critical to the club securing Wout Weghorst on loan.
The Dutch forward arrived to link up with his countryman, ditching his previous loan spell at Besiktas.
Presently a Burnley player for the long-term, Weghorst will now be at United for the rest of the season.
Per The Athletic, coach ten Hag is the one who pushed for the move after the two sides met in the Carabao Cup on December 21.
He pushed United to engage in talks with Burnley, who then got Besiktas involved to see if Weghorst could be released from that loan.
Now he is a United player, and may even play in midweek against Crystal Palace.
