REVEALED: Man City to axe 11 and splash £200m on Pep targets Aubameyang, Alaba & more...

Manchester City are planning a massive overhaul this summer, according to The Sun.

Pep Guardiola will be given a massive £200million to spend on his key targets as City look to smash the £174m the Spaniard spent upon his arrival at the Etihad Stadium last summer.

Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Bayern Munich full-backs David Alaba and/or Juan Bernat and Southampton centre-half Virgil van Dijk are believed to be Pep's top targets.

Tottenham Hotspur duo Kyle Walker and Danny Rose are also in the mix as City get set to axe as many as 11 players at season's end.

It is expected that Yaya Toure and Joe Hart are the two big names who are likely to be offloaded while Jesus Navas, Gael Clichy, Bacary Sagna, Pablo Zabaleta and Willy Caballero will not be offered new contracts, which will reportedly save the club £1m per week in wages if they all leave the Etihad.

Defenders Aleksandar Kolarov and Nicolas Otamendi are in danger of being axed while loanees Wilfried Bony, Eliaquim Mangala and Jason Denayer are expected to be sold to raise further funds.

A club insider revealed to The Sun: “Pep hasn't even begun with his spending at the club yet, it is just the start.

“The club accepted they could not change the entire starting eleven in the close season.

“They wanted to give the veteran lads another chance and one last hurrah at giving it a go.

“Pep will be backed to the hilt and will have something around £200m to spend to achieve his aims and targets.

“There is a huge rebuilding process going on at the club and this is just the next stage of that.

“It was never going to happen in one season. This is a project, instant success isn't a guarantee."
