Liverpool are considering a move for Atletico Madrid striker Angel Correa.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is in the market for a natural goalscorer and Argentine Correa has emerged as a target.

Indeed, Foot Mercato reports Liverpool are already in contact with Correa's minders and tabled him a contract offer. A five-year deal worth €2.8 million-a-year has been offered.

Correa is keen on the move, though is seeking €4.5 million-a-year to leave for Anfield.

Atletico are prepared to sell in order to make room for Chelsea firebrand Diego Costa. Correa, a favourite of Atleti coach Diego Simeone, has been likened to former Manchester United and Manchester City star Carlos Tevez.

Atletico are willing to sell for €28 million.
