Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has helped VfB Stuttgart in the transfer market this season.

Ivory Coast midfielder Serey Geoffroy Die left FC Basel in January for Stuttgart on the advice of Drogba.

"Didier Drogba is like a father to me. I often ask him for advice, not only in sporting matters," said Serey.

"When I asked him about a possible move to Stuttgart, he told me: 'You do that, go there. This is a very good club and the league is a great league'."

He added: "I have come to help. And we'll do it."
