REVEALED: Chelsea winger Mudryk was 'desperate' for Arsenal move

Chelsea winger Mykhaylo Mudryk was left 'devastated' missing a move to Arsenal last January.

Mudryk saw several offers from Arsenal turned down by Shakhtar Donetsk, who eventually sold him to Chelsea for the higher €100m bid.

The Athletic says Mudryk favoured moving to Arsenal where he felt his game would be better suited under manager Mikel Arteta.

It's also claimed Gunners chief Edu remains interested in the Ukraine international, despite his struggles with Chelsea.

And Arsenal manager Arteta is also convinced Mudryk would fit into his system should Chelsea consider transfer-listing him this summer.
