Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas would love to sign for Real Madrid before the market shuts.
Don Balon revealed this week that Cesc had called Real president Florentino Perez directly to offer himself to the Merengues.
However, Real coach Zinedine Zidane is reluctant to take on the Spain international, seeing his addition as overkill for his midfield options.
Meanwhile, OKDiario reports this week wasn't the only attempt by Cesc over the summer to negotiate himself a move to Real.
It's claimed an offer from the Cesc camp to Real was made in late June.
The midfielder has been told no move will be considered unless Real sell a midfielder in the next fortnight. He has also been warned he won't be guaranteed a game under Zidane.
