There are claims Mario Balotelli clashed with Italy teammates in the final hours of their World Cup campaign. The AC Milan striker was hooked at halftime of their defeat to Uruguay, with claims Italy coach Cesare Prandelli, who has since resigned, decided to substitute him after exchanging angry words in the locker room.
Secolo XIX goes further today, reporting that Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci demanded Balotelli leave the dressing room as the pair traded insults.
It is also claimed AS Roma midfielder Daniele de Rossi wanted to take matters into his own hands, only to be denied by Bonucci, who ended up protecting Balotelli.
After the defeat, it was De Rossi who took aim at Balotelli, scoffing at his Panini album stunt before the crunch match.
