REVEALED: Arsenal manager Arteta experiencing 'friction' with Aubameyang

Arsenal are experiencing problems with the relationship between manager Mikel Arteta and captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports.

Aubameyang was absent for Arsenal's shock 2-0 loss to Brentford in last Friday's Premier League opener.

While illness has officially attributed to Aubameyang's omission, reports in England state there might be something else at play.

Eurosport says 'friction' between Arteta and Aubameyang has been growing over preseason.

Arteta would ideally like to offload Aubameyang or strike partner Alexandre Lacazette before the transfer window closes.

However, so far the club have not received any official offers for the pair.

Barcelona are reportedly interested, but their dire financial situation complicates any potential deal.
