REVEALED: Amorim informs Liverpool he's willing to join

Sporting CP coach Ruben Amorim has told Liverpool he's willing to join them, it has been claimed.

Sky Deutschland says Amorim has agreed the move in principle, but terms over a three-year contract are still being finalised.

Amorim's agents are this week discussing a deal with Reds officials.

The Portuguese would arrive to succeed manager Jurgen Klopp, who will step down at the end of the season.

It's also been revealed that Amorim's contract carries an affordable buyout clause of €15m.

“No, I can't guarantee [I'll stay]," said Amorim last week. “I gave my word and I can't go back on it. If we don't win titles, I'll leave Sporting. “It was clear from the start, it was the bet I passed on to the players. We have to win titles."
